Compatibility enhancement for Solaris.

* cb/byte-order:
  compat/bswap.h: fix endianness detection
  compat/bswap.h: restore preference __BIG_ENDIAN over BIG_ENDIAN
  compat/bswap.h: detect endianness on more platforms that don't use BYTE_ORDER
